Slovenia begins refunding thousands of COVID fines
The Slovenian government is repaying fines issued for breaking COVID-19 measures, totaling around â¬1.7 million.
All infractions will be removed from peoples' records and penalties will no longer be enforced.
The bill to refund fines was passed to address the perceived excesses of pandemic policing under the previous government. [ more ]
